Emergency Action Plans For High - Rise Buildings

History: The September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon changed the rules of engagement and made high-rise security a top priority for building owners.

New York City Local Law 26 of 2004 required the New York City fire commissioner to adopt standards, procedures and requirements for the orderly evacuation of occupants from any office building, including evacuation of persons necessitated by explosion, biological, chemical or hazardous-material incidents or releases, natural disasters or other emergency, or the threat thereof.
